Oh, so the original numbers were screwed up?

I was wondering, because I took a look at the graph, and the x800 was beating the Geforce 6 in some occasions.

Not quite deserving of a "pwned".
Okay, now I get it.

yeah it's just silly how people can downplay sm3.0 based off of this "patch" that still gave nice performance gains.

IMO, Nvidia takes this one.

Geez, today and tommorrow are going to go so slow for me, since I'm waiting on the patch. If it makes that much a difference on a GT, geez. I'm running FarCry with everything turned up to the max, 8xS AA 16X AF, Ultra High Water, and my BFG 6800 OC'd to 400/1.05 MHz. It still runs at pretty high frames no matter what level it is! Wow.

What's the deal with HDR? What's that supposed to change in the game as far as image quality? Alot of those HDR screens you see online look like my game when I have "Paradise" rendering mode on. That's odd. Check these screens out:

ma gt is cheduled to arrive wednesday w00t heh very nice performance results. i never go by anantech or any review sites i go by what friends and people get when they test it themselves. btw what drivers are you using to test the 6800NU on?

The good and the bad of the 1.2 patch IMO

Good thing--- SM3 does increase performance compared to sm2 on nvidia hardware.

Bad thing--- no image quality improvement over SM2, guess we'll have to wait for patch 1.3 or maybe an expansion pack.

BTW does the patch benefit nv3x users?

i think it only benefits the 6800 owners because of sm3.0 some glitches here and there were fixed probably for non 6800 users. thats about it

Quick question - to enable SM 3.0 do you have to use the -devmode command line option or can you use the console command and have it "remember" the setting from then on? Obviously, I'll want to run in 3.0 mode all the time.
