AHH man if I would have just waited 10 minutes I'd still have my brain. Oh well guess I'm off to see the wizard...

I wonder what differences you would see with PS2 is you applied Humus' method ... (which I'm assuming would also apply with the NV40 in PS2 mode?)

The IQ differences I have noticed in game to be relatively minor, I have not noticed HDR, ect

I am of course comparing it to the r300 path, The Nv3x pathway (On Nv40 cards) Has been significantly improved.

where the VDM & HDR ? all these benchies seems to ran without them .. at least Anandtech's!


As for the performance i'll say : OMG!! ... thats a total ownage for the 6800 series ~!

This can't be overstated at this early stage. This from Anandtech as it is stated very well:

According to anand there is no vdm or hdr in the 1.2 patch

HDR isnt in this patch as far as I can tell. This is the SM 3.0 patch with performance enhancements
