I'm really blown away by the IQ with my 6800Ultra.

Check out the self-shadowing and texture detail:

With Digital Vibrance 3.0 on medium, the colours really come alive:

All of these are at 1600x1200 @ high detail.

Please note that these may or may not have story related thigns in them.

I.E, if you think it may screw with the story....dont look

I must agree with some reviews, when they say it doesnt need AA, because it looks fantabulous without it

The game environment is dark and muddy. It would be harder to spot the jaggies.

FarCry on the other hand, has a bunch of trees and grass that can look ugly if you don't use AA.

Yeah that's most likely it

but damn great game so far.

Oh, and for reference, enabling 2xAA framerate drops about 20fps to about mid 40's. and offers no real quality increase (except for screenshots :P).

That is one thing I noticed on Far Cry is that the enviornment AA was not nearly as necessary as it would be at 1024x768, granted I still like having it on the edges of the wepon and hand simply because there up close.

Well,

I decided to make a "pretty" screenshot.

The following was taken in 1600x1200@ ultra quality mode

with 16xAA set in-game and 16xaf set in nvidia control panel, and "image quality" set to high.

Also, i turned off the hud, so i could use it as a wallpaper .

And for those that are wondering at this i was getting approx 10-15fps.

Now how can you not tell me that's the prettiest damn game ever

No flashlight required here, Amazing!

This game rocks Im loving it so far, Im running it 1280x1024 with the High quality setting , 4xAF/No AA, and the framerate is great, the only oddity is that it runs 10-12 fps faster if I leave Vsync disabled in doom3 options.
