from what I've read if Vsync is enabled and frame rates are less than 60fp (which DOOMIII is locked at) then it drops those rates by half.. I tested and got:

1280x1024 4xaa 8xaf NO Vsync - 39.7fps
Vsync enabled - 30.5fps

1280x1024 2xaa 8xaf No Vsync - 52.7fsp
Vsync enabled - 35fps

Say guys on DOOM3, I have been seeing screens around where people have went above the FPS cap of 60. Is there a command for the config file? I am running 16x12 Very High with 8XAF and pegging 60 alot so I would like to know how to defeat it.

Edit: NM I know what the deal is now.

Max Payne 2: The fall of Max Payne

16xAA and 16xAF

Benchmark, the entire Chapter 2 of Part 3 (Blowing Up). This is as bad as it gets with all of the crazy light affects and explosions (see screens). Most of the game runs about double this speed.

Frames: 6040 - Time: 108027ms - Avg: 55.911 - Min: 15 - Max: 102

MP2 is an awesome shooter with more plot twists that a big budget film, best of all it's only $20 now.

I just started Doom 3 but here are a few. Shots that were over 1mb I had to compress for imageshack to accept them:

Doom 3 16x12 High Q 8xAF>NO trilinear OR anisotropic opts on

EDIT:

More Doom 3 16x12 High Q 2xAA/8xAF>NO trilinear OR anisotropic opts on

EDIT Again, Doom 3 16x12 Ultra Q 8xAF>NO trilinear OR anisotropic opts on
