Default TwinView w/ Laptop as Primary display

Hey everybody!

The nvidia driver states that using twinview on a laptop makes the connected monitor the primary display and laptop display becomes the secondary device. Is their anyway around this? Perhaps with Xinerama?

Here's my situation. I'm running Suse 9.1 on a Toshiba P25 with the 17" wide format screen with a resolution of 1440x900. I have 15" lcd connected as well running at 1024x768. The laptop screen is much nicer. I want the external LCD to be to the "right of" my laptop screen so I can drag a running app to the secondary screen. The twinview under windowsXP does this very well. If I run the laptop screen as the secondary display when I'm on the road the laptop screen tries to run at 1024x768 which looks terrible.

Is there any hope or must I wait until nvidia gets thier driver up to snuf.

Thanks!
