Default RivaTNT2 and multiple X sessions

Hello all:

I've recently installed the latest version of the Nvidia Driver and I've modified (like i were told in README file), the XFree86-4 file adding correct values to driver and modules. Now, i can initializate perfectly one session X. I have set the X to initializate with the computer, but, it doesn't matter if I try to type from the console "startx -- :2" or i click on "Start new session" in KDE. It doesn't work.

The Xfree log file points out this:

(EE)NVIDIA(0) Failed to initializate external video decoder object.
(EE)NVIDIA(0) *** Aborting ***

Fatal server error:
Addscreen/Screeninit failed for driver 0.

I've yet looked for a solution on the web and various forums.

Can anyone help me, please?

Thanks you a lot.

PS: Sorry for my bad English.

Exclamation Re: RivaTNT2 and multiple X sessions

I have the same problem. The only my solution is use old 4496 hacked to be compiled with 2.6.* kernel. This isn't the best solution but work.
If someone have a better solution...

Thanks you. I'll wait for someone who will explain me how to get it with my actual driver. If not, i'll download the version you've told me..
