Default winmodem (Conexant) on laptop and SuSE 9.1 64 bits

Hello

The winmodem inside my Asus L5D laptop seems to be one built by Conexant
and used inside the nVidia chipset. Under WinXP, its name is an AC 97 Soft v92 .... But with lspci -v, it is only an Asustek modem. Yast found it as
an Asusteck modem but this modem does not work. There are some linux drivers for Conexant soft-modems. I downloaded the right one for SuSE 9.1 but some problems occured during configuration. Probably due to the fact
that it is for 32 bits and not for 64 bits.
Who can have an idea on how to use this winmodem under SuSE 9.1 Pro
64 bits (updated kernel from SuSE website) ?

thanks
