Can't get 64 bit to work
I am running Slackware 10.0 kernel 2.6.8
When I try to install the 64 bit nforce or geforce drivers, I get the following message:
"ERROR: this .run file is intended for the
Linux-x86_64 platform, but you appear to be
running on Linux-x86. Aborting installation."
I have set up the kernel for AMD64/Opteron. Is there anything else I need to do for the driver to see my environment as 64 bit?

Re: Can't get 64 bit to work
I am having the same problem too. uname -m gives me : "i686"
I am running debian sarge w/ kernel 126.96.36.199 and I am trying to install the nForce Driver version 1.0-0283
I compiled my own kernel and its source is at /usr/src/linux
I am using ASUS K8N-E Deluxe (nForce3 250 Gb) with a 3200+ processor
