The first one... I dunno cuz it dont list the specs
The second one.....its ok but a little low on the +12 for a 500watt PSU priced at $99
The 3rd one well.....I wouldnt recommend it since its only got FOUR total molex connectors for HD's and opticals and only 1 additonal 4 pin + 12 connector for a total of 5 devices without having to y split a bunch of stuff. For $69 its not too bad tho.

If you are in the market for a PSU and want somethign of quality and also somethiong with nice led fan since all 3 you listed were lighted, you might want to consider the OCZ 520. It does have a lighted exhaust fan(green) and also has 6 standard molex connectors PLUS 2 dedicated vga lines with shield and rfi filters as well as 2 seperate sata connectors.

FrozenCPU is a bit overpriced compared to Newegg. Forzencpu has the OCZ 520 listed at 149, however....Newegg lists it at 125. I have this PSU and highly recommend it to anyone.

I didnt specify under load conditions regarding the comparison of 5950 and 6800 ultra. AS your own link showed....at idle...the 6800Ultra draws more power then the 5950 regardless of clock speeds. Under load...yes the 5950 takes slightly more...but there is more a difference between the cards at idle then at load and that is why I said the 6800 series use more power.
As if under idle is anyone's concern. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and assumed you meant under load.

You corrected the guy, when what he stated was correct; the 5950 uses more power. What they use at idle is inconsequential, of course.

Inconsequential to you. But it wouldnt have been listed at all if it meant nothing. Have a nice day.

Hi, is anyone running 6800GT or Ultra on my PSU?
It's 350 W Enermax EG365P-VE. The +12V rail has 26A. I know it should be enough. My system also has few components. But it would be good to know it it can handle it, if anyone is running this (especially together with my Abit NF7-S 2.0).

I had some problem with ATi AIW 9700 Pro last time:
http://www.viperlair.com/reviews/vid...9700/fix.shtml
It was probably caused by the ATi card (exact series) but it was the power supply which did not pass it. And it was doing together with NF7-S.

I may have to buy another one LOL since Im building a new case and system for the wife with custom side case window. Was thinking of using the 420 PSU that I took out of mine when I put in the OCZ 520, but with such a nice custom windowed case, it may look odd NOT having a classy looking PSU.

Is it worth putting two PSU's in one system? One powering the motherboard, harddrive etc and one powering the 6800 U?

With my current PSU i cant run two full lines to the GPU and the rest of my components so would it be easier to put an extra PSU in??

I havnt recieved my 6800U yet but i want to get the best out of it when it arrives.

Cheers

In my oppinion, using two PSU's is a bandaid approach. Not being insulting, just my oppinion. It would depend on what psu's you wanted to pair up. If you have an extra PSU lying around, then sure go ahead if you want to try that. However, if you dont, then buy a new one that you can run two seperate lines to the 6800U....ie buy an OCZ. I 100% recommend OCZ's powerstream PSU's over any other PSU on the market. Especially because of the TWO dedicated vga lines with rfi filters.
Please check this review out of the OCZ 470

I have the OCZ 520
