Though my TT 560W is running my 6800 Ultra admirably, I am noticing that my +12v line fluctuates quite a bit, deviating up to 4% from normal (my max tolerance is 5%). I'm thinking about getting one of those really sweet Enermax supplies with the four separate 12V lines ( ) but I don't have the funds for it and my system is running fine with what I have. I just don't know what to do.

I have a 300W JNC psu. It appears to handle very well the components on my pc with a PNY 6800 GT. I donĀ“t have any fdd nor CD-rom, only a LG CD-RW 48x I use to read as well, an ATA 100-5400 RPM 80GB and a Realtek network card.

Finally Got around to installing my Antec 480 NeoPower and this is a nice quiet supply. I had an Enermax "whisper" 365, and even after adding 2 case fans my system is noticably quieter.

Thanks Antec

I am thinking about upgrading to a Geforce 6800 GT. I am running a 250 watt psu. I opened up my case and found the nessesary hard disk cable required for the 6800 GT and Standard. I called PNY about it, and they said that since it is borderline (they recommend at least 300 watts), that the card should run without any problems. However, if I experience any power related problems, I must upgrade the psu. Does anyone think that I should upgrade before installing the card?

I was wondering whats the best psu for 120 bucks. im looking for rails here. the best i could find is:

http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...103-478&depa=0

+3.3V@27A,+5V@29A,-5V@0.3A,+12V@36A,-12V@0.8A,+5VSB@2A

is there anything that has more power on the rails?

I'm using some generic PSU with 13A on the 12v. The GT runs fine, but then again I've yet to overclock it beyond what BFG set it at. I'll experiment once my new rig gets here.

I haven't had any problems so far running my 6800GT in a barebone pc with 250watt PSU, but last night when playing Doom3, I noticed little sound 'clicks' when running around which might have something to do with power (not sure, tried it with both onboard sound and audigy2 and both show same problem)
