Hi everyone!
My X server works perfectly when using driver nv. But now, i'd like to enable 3D acceleration. I installed nvidia driver 1.0-6111 exactly as described in the readme (recompiled, nv->nvidia + modules), but it won't work ! When running startx, my pc just hangs with a black screen. At bootup, nvidia kernel module is loaded without any error. I tried the following options in X server config file : Option "NvAGP" "1" Option "IgnoreDisplayDevices" "DFP, TV" I also disabled Local APIC in my kernel, Fast Writes and got AGP to 4X in the BIOS. The log file indicates the NVIDIA X driver and the GLX module are loaded. There isn't any error message in the log file. If someone could help me... I attached the config file and the log. (with log-verbose 5) Here is my config: GeForce FX 5200 (64 Mo) bios : 04.34.20.27.00 SONY SDM HS-53 (flat screen) driver version x86-1.0-6111 Debian Sid 2.4.27 Athlon XP 2800+ VIA KT400 Thanks!
