Now that I've fixed el stupid up (Windows 2000) I've got mozilla (1.2 beta) going faster than phoenix .3 was. I don't see a point to checking it out yet...

Ok, I've been playing with these different browsers today. Opera 7 is simply to buggy as of yet. Phoenix gave me trouble connecting to some web pages reporting "connection refused", when IE gave me no problems. Both Mozilla, and Phoenix failed to render the ac3-guru site accurately which is more annoying to me than the error pointed out about Opera. The problem is blue text on a blue background that should be grey! Other than that, for both browsers I had to install the stupid mouseware drivers to use the back button on my mice. Phoenix is reportedly working on getting the wheel to work natively. Though I think I still prefer Opera, I'm gonna keep playing with these other browsers a bit.

I really really love Opera's Mail Client. It's a shame that it's not a seperate Standalone application .

Viewing this same forum quite properly under Opera 7.0 beta 1
I don't know what caused the error Saturnotaku was talking about. A misconfigured setting?

I'm using the same beta, and I saw the error. But I see worse errors in Mozilla and Phoenix though. Opera does gives a similar error on the same page.

What about this;

Looks cool, getting raves here;

I realize it's based on IE, but we get many of the great features of other browsers with the rendering accurace of IE.

I used Crazy Browser but it had a tendency to crash on me. For IE, I'm using Avant Browser (formerly IEOpera). I use that for my e-commerce doings, but for general web surfing I use Phoenix.

Default Incorrect Opera rendering

I've attached an image of the Opera's inability to correctly render pages in this forum. To some, it may not be that big a deal but it's very annoying to me.

Well, now you know why I don't use Opera... too big, ads, and not as good as Phoenix

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I have a hard time justifying paying $39 for something other, better software does for free.

I have seen the operaerror image. Even if Opera is displaying this forum not so well, it is still fully useable, so why bother with such a TINY bug?.
I want to say another thing: Every browser known to man has its pros and cons. No one is perfect. And now that we're talking about how good Mozilla/siblings browsers are let's not forget Mozilla code is also full of big bugs, like for example saving several file types with TWO extensions. Annoying. Also the CACHE MANAGEMENT in Opera is way far better. Opera has a lot of bugs but so Mozilla/Phoenix is.

It wouldn't bug me so much, but this is an issue that has been present since Opera 4. You would think after 3 entirely new program revisions they would have gotten it right.

I visit a lot of forums so this is an issue that becomes tiresome rather quickly. It may not be a big deal to you, but it is to me.
