I also heard the Monday night 7PM Gamestop rumors, and my dude at Gamestop is now telling me if you have a preorder you get it either Tuesday or wednesday, but I will probably get my confirming call today. I'll drop a line back to tell you how it goes.

Bought the game, took some initial shots. Don't want to show too many other it will spoil it. And yes, its friggin awesome, game is incredible in motion, and scary just as promised

As a lame sidenote, the game refuses to run if you have CloneCD installed, even if no clonecd process is running in the background.

In terms of multiplayer its awesome. Like the original Doom games, its like you are hunting the opponent, very intense. GET IT NOW!!!

EDIT: Sorry Ruined, these are just loading way to slowly...links now -Clay

I have just played 1 1/2 hours of the game and I absolutely amazed with the graphics as well as the performance I am getting with my Asus FX5900 Ultra. I get max fps of 60(capped) and the minimum fps is 20 here and there.

I run it at 1280*1024 at High settings.

The flashlight deal is genius. Very original. It feels like you're in a Dawn of the Dead movie.

I am still going to upgrade to the GT though because there are DX9 games I want better performance in.

My system:
Athlon XP 3000+ OC @ 2.2ghz
Epox 8RDA3+ nForce2
1GB OCZ Performance series
Audigy Gamer
FX 5900 Ultra

- 1600x1200 4xAA/8xAF (via NV CP)
- Doom 3's "High Quality" setting

I have some more videos uploading as well...should be ready in about 20 minutes...

Awesome game I'm very impressed and its running great on 6800 GT @ 1600x1200 4X AF High quality , My only concern is if I enable Vsync in Doom 3 options the framerate doesnt hold up very well and its very erratic in certain areas ,with vsync disabled (wich is default) framerates remain much more consistent.

If you play the game on ultra and pay attention to the textures, the low rez textures are really noticeable. I have no idea why they didn't go all out and make them higher rez.
