Module nvidia does not have a nvidiaModuleData data object.
I'm trying to install the latest NVIDA linux drivers on a Fedora Core 2 (i.e., on x.org 6.7.0). The X server does not start due to the following error (from the log):
"Module nvidia does not have a nvidiaModuleData data object."
I tried with the 6111 driver with both the 4k and 16k stack kernels.
That's exactly what I've done:
1. downloaded the 1.0-6111.pkg0
2. installed the drivers
3. updated x.org as in the README (nv->nvidia, disabled dri, etc.)
It didn't work.
Hence, I tried with the following:
1. uninstalled the 1.0-6111 drivers
2. downloaded and installed the 16k stack kernel
3. installed the drivers
4. updated x.org as in the README (nv->nvidia, disabled dri, etc.)
Again, it didn't work.
I could not find anything related to this issue neither in the FAQ or in the mailing list or in the web. Does anyone have a solution, or an URL showing how to solve the problem?
Thanks in advance,
