146 million. 16 more than the 5950.

IMO this is going to kill the X700 unless they decide to go with a 256bit memory bus for the XT.

Well if the X700 gone for higher clocks like 500/1000 it may get the same advantage the X800 series gain over the 6800 series even with 128-bit core.

& if the X700 indeed has 6 vertex pipelines againest the 6600's 3 .. then it will be superior in vertex & geometery opreations .

Well the 6800 series is more effective per clock than the X800. I don't know if this will hold true for the 6600 and X700 since the X700 has 6 vertex pipelines, something I was not aware of.

i too am anxious to find out the prices of these nForce4 SLI boards. i read in CPU magazine though that they probably won't support 7.1 digital audio

i cant imagine the prices would exceed $250. however, im so impressed with nvidia's chipset (in my nforce2) that i would be willing to spend the money.
