Hmm, well, that would explain why I was getting less than 10 FPS in the Guardian fight with those 3 floating light thingies hovering around, while in the outdoor areas I was getting around 25 FPS. But I still don't think the Doom 3 engine would do outdoors very well with the lighting system they used in Doom 3, they'd probably need to use a simpler lighting system for all the objects you'd see in a Farcry-type environment (like the lighting system Half-life 2 uses, that seems pretty simple yet decent looking).
