Well It will let me play only if I host a server. When I try to join any the game crashes back to desktop with no warning or anything.

Well, I played a bit. First it was telling me servers are too busy to update. 15min of clicking, and it finally updated the game, then I couldn't find any servers. 20min later servers showed up but it was impossible to find a server to join. Server is full/server not responding error. Finally logged in, played about 20 min, pretty cool, BUT. I can't get the gamma set right, black is way too dark, and light colors are too bright. Ran the stress thing 56.5 FPS with no aa/af @ 1280x1024 and I think my vsynch was enabled.

Valve... brilliant! They can't even release a beta that LAUNCHES on most people's systems! rofl. I mean, lag, graphical bugs... sure np.... but can't even launch the game?

Bleh...
reflections are nice but those look terrible... looks like chrome plated bottles, not some dusty old thing laying on the street.
