Default Re: Line Shifting with DVI output on 6800

Indeed, I just installed the 6629 drivers as well (also on Gentoo), and I'm pleased to see that the problem seems to have disappeared completely. Thanks, nVidia.

Well, it's too late for me. I returned the card before the new driver came out, but it's good to know they fixed the problem. I just wish there was better communication. That's one of the biggest complaints on this forum. If they had simply said "we know about the problem and will have it fixed for the next release" or if they had listed it as a known problem to be fixed in the near future, I wouldn't have gone through the hassle of returning it.

Running 6629 on Gentoo using a MSI 5600-card. Either Nvidia just worked around the problem for 6800, but ignored 5600, or some misbehaving timer just happened to work for some 6800-users. Can someone please confirm or deny any remaining problems with 6800?

Yes, I have this same problem.

I have:

PNY Verto 6800 GT
&
Viewsonic VP912b.

Updated drivers today, didn't work! I hope Nvidia fixs this!

Another problem i have is I can't use two displays!!!
I turn it on and it appears to work, but,it asks if i want
to keep the setting, after
clicking YES it reverts back to single monitor!
I'm trying to use the s-video and monitor at the same time,
basically i want to record the games i play as i play them.
(not sure if theres a workaround for this i searched around and didn't see anything)

Nvidia, please fix these problems!
