How to view TV with a Geforce 4 ti 4200 (UK)

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can help me- I'd like to view tv through my pc- how and where should I look for instructions on how to set this up?

EDIT: Just to add I'm using Intervideo Windvr 2 software to attempt to watch tv but the screen is always fuzzy

Have you installed a tv tuner card in your pc? That is the first requirement. Connect your tv cable to the card, tune the channels using the software provided by the card manufacturer and watch tv on your pc. I do, and I like it very much.

I thought the Geforce 4 ti 4200 included a tv tuner card? In the sticker at the front (not very knowledgable I know

) it says amont others PCI TV-tuner card/ 6 in 1 universal memory card reader?

I'm trying to view tv using 'Intervideo windvr 2' and the only option I can select is Asus TV7134 WDM Video Capture when I want to view TV. Is this the TV tuner card you are talking about? As it came with the pc I don't have any installation cd's etc. How do I set it up because I just want to plug an aerial at the back of my pc to view tv ut do I have to do more than that?

If it were a Personal Cinema card you would be able to simply run your coaxl tv antenna cable into your card and your set. But gererally you do need a seperate TV Tuner card. Unless the video card is referring to VIVO in which you can view television in to your PC, but through other means. I'd recommend something like a Hauppauge analog TV Tuner Card. About $50 and works great http://www.hauppage.com/Pages/products/data_go.html. Good Luck

I think you're confusing a standard video card TV-out with a TV tuner card. To get the best picture quality and compatibilty, a PCI card is the way to go. Regular TV-out only allows you to display what's on your monitor on a TV.
