Thanks Capt'

EDIT: Whoa! It looks like this game can kick Far Cry and Doom 3 in their asses, graphic wise...

The in-game shots look really AMAZING !

Gamefaqs has a board for Oblivion.

And this is especially juicy. This XMX person seems to have the Game Informer magazine already and have TONS of info in this thread:
http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/gen...topic=16244676

Read up guys, it sounds amazing
I'm confused?.
That guy with the GI issue say that it would be (the land) smaller than Morrowind (vvardenfell).

"-- They say the game is very very large, but (sadly) it will be smaller than Morrowind for two reasons \/"

But then went on to say that it would be in cyrodiil:

"-- Takes place in Cyrodiil, hereís a quote from GI "the world of Tamriel is a beautiful place: these are, without a doubt, the most amazing graphics the console gaming world has ever seen (look better than doom from the pics I saw)"

But according to this map of tamriel, cyrodill is huge compared to vvardenfell.

Am I wrong on this?.

Woodelf, read the two reasons again for the game not being as big.

(Quote)
A. "Budgets and schedules for games will not change much while the enhanced graphics will require more development time

B. "Itís a fact that, statistically, gamers prefer shorter games, and often do not finish more involved titles (end quote)

I may be wrong but I took it as the prime quest not taking as long although there would be many ways to go about completing the game.

So they were talking about the (Main) story
line?. Because (being an open ended game) there look's to be more area to walk through.

That's the way I took it. MW took a lot of time to complete even when limiting yourself to the main quest. At least I hope this is correct as the size of the area is what initially attracted me to the game.

Man, this is so wrong. expecially with this game.
I agree that some game's (mostly FPS) get so repetitious, that you end up playing just to finish. But this is TES. TES isn't just a game, it's a world.
As I suggested on the Bethesda forum's, they should have multiple main story lines then (depending on which path you take in the begining).

Then I just hope that the non-story side quest's/scavenging end up being more entertaining.

Yeah, there's alot of HDR effects on those armors.

I only hope they won't go as far as to make EVERYTHING shiny in the game. I'm still wondering where did Crytek take the inspiration for those shiny bricks or those shiny rusty pipes

Morrowind got very tedious and boring after a while...hopefully this game is much more entertaining all the way through. They could take some pointers from Bioware. NWN and KotOR are two of the best RPGs I've ever played.

KOTOR was good but too linear. There were places I wished I could complete quest's in , but couldn't because I had either gotten kicked out or the place was destroyed. It knew how to keep your interest though. KOTOR 2 look's too similar to KOTOR, and I was hoping for something more updated. Well have to see.
