Boys! Did I ever mess my Doom up ~ Pls Help!!!

I was about to do a timedemo (Ctrl+Alt+~). Then, I decided I wasn't going to. I didn't know how to make the screen go full again, so I typed EXIT where I would normally type "timedemo demo1". After doing this, Doom is really messed up - It's in slow motion and "floaty". It's now 10fps. Can anyone tell me what bonehead thing I've done and if there's a quick fix? Thanks

In settings hit the default option to see if everything goes back to what they were when you played it for the first time.

I selected "everything to default",then put the settings back to where I had them. I also changed the doomconfig back to

And I'm still only getting 17fps. I was getting aroung 47fps before I ****ed up the game. I don't remember if there was something else in the config that I should be changing or not. If any of you could tell me how to undo my mess, I'd appreciated it... Thank you.

is it running in windowed mode? Well if all else fails, move your saved games to another position, and reinstall.

I reinstalled and I'm still only getting 16fps. What the hell is going on????????//

Mybe you installed another program thats causing it? Check task manager to see whats running and if anything is out of place.

I don't this this is the case. Because I was getting 35 to 40fps, then I did that bonehead thing and typed exit instead of "timedemo demo 1", then the problem started. All within minutes. I did noticed that there were some warnings on the CTRL+ALT+~ screen, can anyone make sense of this:

After you uninstall Doom3 delete the Doom 3 folder from program files. Otherwise any mods you had installed will stay.

Something definetely is screwy... At this point I would probably just reformat, or go back to a previous restore point

Change seta image_cacheMegs to "256" instead of "2000" and see if that helps. If not delete the whole directory and re-install.
