Default Doom3 Pageing File Size

Ive been playing Doom3 for a while now on high settings and it runs decent enough on my 5900 Ultra but i want to try it on ultra settings. I tried it before and it came up with Pageing File Size Too Low??(or somthing along thos lines)

So my question is what should i set my pageing file size too? coz its set to no paging file at the moment?

1Gig of ram in pc
Geforce fx 5900 Ultra - will ultra mode run ok with this card

I have mine set to 1.5 GB but not on my C: drive. Works just fine this way.

Could you give me more info on what youve done.

What would you recommend me to set my pageing file size too?

Thanks

no matter what you will not play on ultra flawless as it needs a 512mb card to run proper.

Page file is for memory swap space.
I have mine set to 512 ( min & max ) so it doesn't try and shrink and grow it.
Also it's a good idea to put it on a different from your main OS & Games drive (if you have space driver of cause )
I also 1GB of Ram.

With 1Gig of memory and at least 128MB on your video card you should run out of real memory unless your running lots of other programs as well as D3.

I do notice load times for levels get longs. If I play through more than 3 levels at one sitting it's a good to quit D3 and reload it. Obviously it's getting some memory fragmenation.

Try:
com_purgeAll 1 //discards data between level loads; longer loading times but smoother gameplay
