What the?!
 I keep getting this at random here at the nvnews forums. First the illegal operation/error thing, then the netscape popup. I'm not sure why it would be doing this, I just reinstalled windows not more the 48hours ago.. maybe this version ( .9.3.1 ) of Firefox is goofy?

I've had some odd problems with .9.3.1 as well (not yours specifically)...but, I'm in the middle of ripping out anything Firefox on my rig and I'm going to reinstall. One of my problems has been that some links simply never load (on any site, not just nvnews). So, you're not alone.
