Quake4 PCZONE Preview

Do you think they'll incorporate any weapons or enemies from any of the quake 2 mission packs?

Wonder what the new mutant will look like...that was the coolest enemy in quake 2...

All i remember from the mission packs is the end boss called the black widow or something...

I went to three different places in search of this mag & didn't realize that it's PC Zone UK... hehe. This game looks amazing though, can't wait!!

No way the Mutant was as cool as the Gladiator. Shame they're bringing back the Gunners... they looked cool but they were SO damn annoying! Mainly because of the grenade launchers...

i really hope RAVEn dont reinvent the railgun or BFG gun .and add them just exactly like they were in quake2 gameplay wise. else i will be extremely dissapointed. why reinvent the wheel when something works?

quake3 was great it added a bunch of things that i liked like jumpads and Bots..but idsoftware made the terrible mistake of reinvent the weapons in many case. the end result.. many weapons there sucks.. the grenade launcher is a joke , the BFG gun and the plasmagun. the useless default weapon another joke.. that it was better to run away that use it. the rocket launcher was great however.

quake2 is the only game where i really like *ALL* the weapons. i had my favorites.. like the railgun or shotgun grenades were extremely fun .. i really liked all of them. in quake3 in the other hand i only like the Rocket launcher and the railgun (but this later was even slighlty less cool and corrected with a MOd) perhaps its me ,but i dislike weapons that clouds my vision with trippy lighting effects when i fire them. the only one that i tolerate and like if the quake2 BFG gun..

But yea I really hated that stupid hyperblaster wanna be they passed off as the BFG in Q3. My favorite maps in Q2 where ones that had both the Rail Gun and the BFG on it....

Just started replaying Q3 during work lunches, and its great, I railed everyone good and proper on Longest Yard . Q3 is still one of the best most frantic deathmatch games IMO.

Yeah, I hope they make the railgun just like the q2 model... only "awesomely" detailed and glowing n stuff. I'm really looking forward to the nailgun as well. Hope this will be good... IMO, q2 is the best pc shooter ever - it just has that solid, smooth "feel" to it. They really need to make high-res compressed textures as well. None of this "ultra quality" uncompressed crap.
