4xS was/is super sampling. Quincux is the blurry one (2xQ in current Forceware drivers).

nVidia has never ONCE given me problems playing any game, unless it was caused by my own meddling (overclocking, system settings etc). They rock.

I think i speak for many people when i say if VIA or SIS or even Intel came out with a new chip that not only beats Nvidia in Doom3 but also ATI in HL2 we would all buy it.

It just comes down to who has the best product vs price. I started with ATI cards, then 3dfx, the nvidia for a couple rounds, then an ATI 9800Pro and im pretty sure my next card will be nvidia again, after that who knows.

Personally I buy whatever is fastest on the market. BUT, I am biased towards nvidia. I went with FX5950 only because I know the rock solid performance of the drivers, and the fact that I'd rather take slower performance at the cost of the stability. It seems that ATI is finally starting to fix their drivers, so maybe in a year I'll try an ATI product. I've been an nvidia gimp ever since original GeForce, and like many other users here came off the 3DFX bandwagon. Rock on nvidia!

I buy nVIDIA because they are slow, overpriced pieces of crap, obviously. Why else would I buy them?

I buy nVIDIA cards simply for thier stable drivers & good games support .

i can tolrate lower performance for a higher stable gaming time . afterall i want to enjoy the game for a long period of time without bugs , not just the highest framerate possible .

i had good experience with nvidia cards in the past.. But I do not like the FX series. Period.

I now have a 6800GT.. after reviewing specs, and the ups and downs of it compared to a x800Pro, i felt the 6800GT was a better card.
