Hey everybody. I was just wondering, who all here on the forums plays and enjoys the Sims 2? Just from my personal experience, this game is very addictive! Literally, hours will go by and you won't even know it. It's very fun. What does everyone think about it?

Well, sorry I don't have pics up online yet, but I can give some tips.
1) Know your Keyboard Hot Keys! 1-3 is the speed of time, "P" is for Pause and the arrow keys move the camera around. 2) If you get a lot of people in your house (I have a wife and 3 kids so far), the Pause button comes in handy! 3) Buy the strategy guide. There are so many things to do in this game, it's not even funny. I'm learning something new about it everyday. That's all I can think of right now but the game is awesome. You will really enjoy it. |

You don't need to hit P to pause, ~ does it too and it's much easier because it's right there with the other speed keys.
edit: But yes, I am addicted, off to play some more. ![]() LycosV |

I'm more of an Unreal, Halo, Doom kinda guy. Give me some high tech weapons & lots of blood, and I'll probably like the game.
But to my surprise I also enjoy Sims2! Got the DVD version this weekend and I must say it's a VERY impressive game. Have no doubt folks, this one is a keeper, it's well worth getting and you may find yourself spending hours making the perfect home. Most difficult thing to do in that game... getting your sims to make woohoo. ![]()

Gator, you do know how to make Sims "WooHoo" right? I can tell you if you don't REALLY know. Haha. I'm a very big time PC Gamer, mostly FPSs like Doom 3, Far Cry and CoD. I like to customize and create things and that's what got me into the Sims 1. Now with the sequel, the possibilities are just unlimited! Look at some of the houses for download on the Official Site. That's just crazy. Sims 2 is an awesome game. I've been missing lots of sleep just to play it.

seriously I don't know the strategy on how to make them "woohoo." I've had them flirt a thousand times, make out kisses, placed them in the bedroom at the same time, but they don't wanna DO IT.
I'm serious, how do I get them to "woohoo" ![]()

You need both of them to relax on the bed to woohoo.
I got bored of the Sims 2 after the 2nd day.

I just briefly tried this, but does AA work? When I loaded it up I had no antialiasing and it looked rather ugly.
