Default low benchmark scores?

I benchmarked 3dmark2001 SE and I got 27332
I benchmarked 3dmark03 and I got 11,900.
im using omega drivers 2.5.90

Should I be getting better results? I know im not oc'ed but theres ppl with slower comps getting better results than I am.

btw when I use the compare feature in the website my core clock and memory clock say 115mhz and AGP rate says 0x.

is there any settings in the control panel i need to turn up or down?

Uh, who? Those scores are awesome! There's nothing wrong.

Comparing your score to others' in Futuremark's ORB is very unreliable. It does not provide enough information to accurately compare your system to another one, especially if you're not overclocked (which pretty much every score you see is).

The 03 score looks a bit low. Or is your card a plain XT (500/500)? If it is, i guess the score's alright.

A PE and a FX-53 should get close to 13 k though.

yea its a regular 500mhz clock.

what if I flash it into a PE? will performance in games increase by more than 2 or 3 fps?

No. Don't risk destroying your new card for negligible performance gains. Your computer is performing very well as it is. My system scores like 10900 in 3DMark03 with everything at stock, and about 12500 with just the video card overclocked. I promptly stopped using Futuremark benchmarks since I've come to realize how completely useless they are at gauging your system's performance.

I destroyed my old processor (Pentium 4) in the pursuit of better performance, and while this Athlon 64 is a lot faster, it was very expensive to replace - the same goes for your video card! Be happy with what you have! Your system is extraordinary compared to the average PC gamer's system out there!

I wouldn't bother flashing it, try OC it and see if you can notice any difference in games. You'll probably just get a higher score in 3dmark etc. Not worth it IMO.

I'm running mine@500/500 and i think i gained like 200 points in 3dmark-05 if i clocked the memory@560 MHz. The core don't clock more than 515 MHz so i just leave it at 500 MHz. Plenty of power for me.

I have a feeling OCing and flashing only give u significant benefits in benchmarks and not in games...i dont know if its worth it.

Well, OCing can give you benefits in games sometimes, but generally only do it if you have the ability to keep your card cool. Flashing, on the other hand, is just silly, especially for you since you already have an x800xt. Just stick with what you have.
