Default Nvidia installer improvements

I would like to know why there is a need to be in run level 3 when installing in linux. Why can you not install in run level 5 then after the install finishes inform the user that they will need to restart X by going to run level 3. Or even better at the end of the install provide a method to do that for the user so the install finishes and askes if the user would like to restart X then go into run level 3 then back up to run level 5? It would also be nice to put the values into the xorg.conf file for the user and save the previous version as xorg.old or some thing? It would be nice to provide a menu option as well but I know that is asking a lot.

Default Re: Nvidia installer improvements

it loads kernel module which can't be done in init 5 because the module is used by X then.
