i would have to say Doom 3. never have i looked forward to a game before but man what a letdown. but i cant stop playing cause of Ultra shadow II and how cool the game looks. House of the dea was AWESOME! Alone in the Dark: The new nightmare created hate but i kept playing it. the original super mario bros. on NES was one of those love-hate games too.

Hehe, House of the Dead voice acting=funniest thing ever. The spin-off game Zombie Revenge is even better. I sooooooo want a voice clip of the announcer saying "bullets" that I can use to replace the default ammo pickup sound in PC FPS games.

I never really get pissed at console and PC games. If it's hard I just keep plugging at it until I get through, or turn it off and come back later. My office PC on the other hand, man do I hate that mofo. And I think the feeling is mutual. Outlook crashes, I got few unsaved text files in the background, excel spreadsheet, and that evil HDD access light just keep blingking at me while the machine is frozen... Thats when I start having fantasies like taking a fire axe just sneaking up on it and killing it one clean blow. Or drilling it though with an oversized drill bit. Stuff like that...

i'd have to say the first soul calibur, against my friend, who was freakin amazing at it (of course, he played it 24/7). it pissed me off when he kept spanking me and then trash talking. sigh, may he rest in peace....

you'll have about 10 years to finish those games before HL2 comes out.

If anyone wants a game they'll LOVE to HATE ....and is damn fun at the same time, there's a little sleeper that came out a few weeks ago called
Wings of War. This little gem will give your gaming skills a serious work out.....There are 13 long and arduous missions for you to pull your hair out over and get the **** kicked out of you by smart AI ...enjoy

Far Cry drove me insane with the damn clairvoyant mercs. They also seem to have hyper sensitive ears and super laser eye surgery which gives them night vision. I was screaming at the game half the time while playing it.

I still loved it though =)

It was hard, but I actually preferred FarCry's AI over the usual "dumb guns" in most games. Add the mercs with ESP to the fact that you can't quicksave, and I got an immense feeling of accomplishment everytime I finished a level. Hell, just reaching a checkpoint with some armor intact was a huge relief.

I have to agree on Jedi Outcast; LucasArts always has the most ridiculous & infuriating puzzles. I remember a level in Outcast where you had to reach a Star Destroyer's hyper-drive controls or something. To get there, you had to jump across this huge room filled with pillars of differing height that seemed to serve no realistic purpose whatsoever, and of course I fell a dozen times and had to do it over again.

I finally got pissed enough to yell, "Are you f*g telling me that every single time Darth Vader wants to shift into 3rd gear, a platoon of Storm Troopers has to jump from pillar to pillar, half of them falling to their deaths, just to reach the &%$ gas pedal?! Wouldn't there be a maintenance access panel or something?! None of the Star Destroyers in the movies had a %$# Chuck E. Cheeze room, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD..."

Then my wife walked in and firmly suggested I find a new game to play...

Daikatana?

One word...

FROGINATOR

That is truly a love to hate game. Though you don't want to keep playing, of course.
