Default HELP My 5900 ultra just died

Not died totally, but I can't play any games. Everytime I click any high profile games (Farcry, doom3, etc), only gives me blank black screen with sounds. But it works on low profile games that has no 3d (neigbor from hell).

So i checked with DXdiag, maybe theres problem with my directx, then i tested my Direct3D accelaration, it give me error (I could see the 3d box but its broken).

Here's the result:

DirectDraw test results: All tests were successful.
Direct3D 7 test results: Failure at step 32 (User verification of Direct3D rendering): HRESULT = 0x00000000 (error code)
Direct3D 8 test results: Failure at step 32 (User verification of Direct3D rendering): HRESULT = 0x00000000 (error code)
Direct3D 9 test results: Failure at step 32 (User verification of Direct3D rendering): HRESULT = 0x00000000 (error code)

So what should i do with it? It was fine 2 days ago. The warranty is over, so is there any place I can repair it?

You might reload drivers. Make sure you use driver cleaner. You can DL from guru3d.com. Also make sure your cooling is ok.

If it is your card, I didn't think a GFFX 5900 would be out of warranty yet. Mine has a 3 year warranty (of course if I have problems I must reflash with my original bios).

Post how things go.

But it worked fine 2 days ago. There should be no problm with the driver.

My evga card only has a 1 year warranty. I bought it on ebay 6 months ago, but how am i supposed to prove it? Should I print my own invoice? How much it is to repair a card? The card is $100 on ebay today, if the cost to repair is higher than 100, i rather be buying another one.

BTW, here's the lovely box

Its spinning but there is something wrong with its color

Honestly, if you think its the card and not the drivers, motherboard, or something else, I would call eVGA and see if you can get RMA. I have read they have very good tech support.

Its worth a try before buying a new card. If you do buy a new one, you may want to consider a 6800 NU or perhaps a 6600GT when it comes out, depending on how much you want to spend. Hopefully tho eVGA will RMA your card
