I agree that Futuremark coded the v3.0 path badly - or they intended for it to run no faster than v2.0.

either way - thats not our problem nor should we care

at least we can specify the shader model before the test - or at least you can with the pro version (that I borrowed)

These driver wars are really heating up .

Comparing scores these days is like comparing apples to oranges depending on the drivers, tweaks, etc.

I mainly use the 'Marks to test relative performance of different rigs, so the actual score is unimportant as long as I keep everything the same.

This is the 3DMark2005 score I got last night on a S939 A64 board running 2600 mhz, 260x10, 1T, 3-3-3-6 and a 32 sec SuperPI 1M time: 5139. No cheats, 66.39 drivers . The board gets 7290 buffered bandwidth! The video card is an Ultra at default clock.

Mild agnosticism —the view that the existence or nonexistence of God or gods is currently unknown but is not necessarily unknowable, therefore one will withhold judgment until/if more evidence is available. A weak agnostic would say "I don't know, but maybe you do."
