My result is 3950.

Config is:
Leadtek 6600gt extreme
AMD Athlon64 3200+
Forceware 77.72

Do you think the score is too low?

I think so. If anything was different, it was subtle...nothing obvious but I need to compare first. It looked much, much smoother even at low framerates like 28, 29, 30'ish.

Edit: Comparing the same frame on the 7800 vs X800 Pro are pretty close. There are no major differences but I guess I need to install the DirectX SDK so I can generate the rasterizer pic to use as a reference.

Edit 2: 8269 with a single card. Not having to reboot to enable/disable SLI is a godsend.

Yeah, give them a shot. It seems like they improved SLI quite a bit with these or maybe it's the multithreaded stuff that's helping. I think it's just SLI though. My single GPU score improved a little. My SLI score improved a lot.

Edit: Last time I ran it, I tried seeing if the affinity option did anything (as a quick way of trying to force a single cpu) but I got about the same score. 13037

Edit 2: Wow, these seem to be making use of the dual-cores.

3DMark05 using /ONECPU switch: 11919
3DMark05 using both cores: 13037

WOAH 81.82 drivers helped me crack my PB single BFG 7800GTX 3dmark05 score by 78pts with 91mhz less on cpu still!

- Strange though to hit 567mhz on GPU on previous drivers i needed to set rivatuner 15.7 to 527mhz, but in 81.82 if i set 527mhz i only get 450mhz, if i set to 528mhz in rivatuner 15.7 i then get 567mhz!

single BFG 7800GTX stock heatsink air @528(567)/1414(1410)
3dmark05
= 9,542
