Retested, with the memories working this time at 400Mhz (first time it was with 266Mhz by mistake in the BIOS configuration O_o ) and playing a bit with graphic card OC (completely stable). Using 81.84 betas.

3DMark05 Score: 4927 3DMarks
3DMark05 Score: 5400 3DMarks (6800GT @ 6800Ultra speeds)

Woohoo new update!
It is a cold day today, so I decided to clock the card a little higher and do some bench testing. Temps on the card are; Min Temp - 39c | Max Load - 62c. This is on air with Zalman VF700Cu
The card is clocked at 500+40 and 1350 on the memory.

Compare Link is in Sig.

Roliath what app are you using to overclock your 7800GTX? With coolbits anything over 499MHZ core does not pass the internal test for me.

Coolbits will let my set up to 520 on the core without trouble, but I get artifacts at that speed so i need more voltage to stabalize it.
Coolbits isn't that very accurate when it comes to set memory clocks, so i use Rivatuner to "dial it in".

Is there a way to increase the voltage to the GPU without physically modding the videocard?

Maybe somebody posted on this thread how to disable the auto detect feature. It's a joke because if you play around a bit, sometimes it will accept a higher core or memory that was rejected earlier. I'm speaking of both Coolbits and Rivatuner.

For me, the Nature test in 3DMark2003 is the best for detecting artifacts with my 7800 GTX. Also look for lockups in 3DMark2005, the first test.

I haven't tried it on my 7800 GTX, but the Far Cry demo at 1600x1200x32, 4xFSAA, 16xAniso was good for checking the ram. Run the test twice to heat up the ICs. Look for flashing white dots on the black gun.

Finally broke 13k. It's not an uber score like twin GTXs and fine for twin 7800 GTs.

See sig link.

Well, you can and you can't

If your voltage fluctuates in 3D mode, than you can "lock" it to 1.4 or something like that via BIOS Flash.

To raise the voltage on the core or memory you have to hardmod it, and it yeilds incredible results.

How does 600 on the core, and 1500 on the memory sound?

Again do it at your own risk.

What I don't understand is that at 499MHZ I can run 3dmark 2005 till the cows come home and my core temps don't go over 43c (watercooled) but the second I go to 500MHZ the driver test fails. Maybe I need to try a different BIOS.

You should try to disable the internal driver clock test in rivatuner and than set 500mhz on the core.
