Finally. I had to use the 81.94 drivers. The best I got with the 81.98s was around 14,300 (Edit: 14,500) or so.

Yeah, there's no way I'll get close to your score then. I already had to replace the HSF just to get the CPU to around 2.8 and even then, it still took me most of yesterday to break 14,700.

Okay so i used win xp pro on virtual pc 7 and ran 3d mark 05 and scored a absolutely insane 12 points... no joke. Im still using it however. I can't believe i actually scored 12 points. I did this just to see how bad my comp is.... darn. Maybe i should go with a dual g5 lol - jk. Im going to be ordering a sager pm 2.13 (not sufficiant or anything) 2 gigs of ram, 2 sata 7200 rpm drives with raid 0, a gtx 7800 with 256 mb ram (nice for laptop as thats what i want) and i'll probably use linux...
holy... how long did it take to run?

He's using an older drivers aswell (77.77) .. maybe dual-core wasnt kicking in since the support for dual-core CPUs came with the FW80 ?

The latest drivers are the 81.98s and the 80 series supports dual-cores. Once dual-core support was added to the drivers, my 3DMark05 score jumped over a 1000 points. So, that would be the first thing I'd do...install the latest drivers.
