yes..

if they want they can.. look at the list of games .. more and more games comes this way. where you need to play only online. Everquest1/2/citiof heroes/anarchy..finalfantasy.. planetside,and many more games.. but not sure if they will go that far.

NV40, the games you listed are MMORPGs, which of course you have to play online since there's no single player. Having to be online to play a single player game is a bit silly, but as long as you log in to Steam once and choose "Exit", not "Exit and Log Off" then you won't need to be online to play.
