Default full screen?

I have noticed that in the nvidia drivers for windows there is an option to cause video playback to full screen on one of the devices under clone/twinview mode. Is it possible to do this under linux?

The reason I need this is because my TV can only go up to 1024x768, but I use 1280x1024 on my monitor. So if I want to watch a movie on my TV, I need to start up a seperate Xfree86 using twinview and 1024x768 on both monitors.

Does anyone have a solution for me, other than running two different copies of X?

Default Re: full screen?

Wooo, I found a solution!

Someone had an example of their config which sets up two screens, and it works great! Just set mplayer to display the movie on the other screen, and problem solved. It was an older post on these forums. Here it is, if anyone is interested.

(edit: woops, wrong link. here is the right one)
