Default Oh yes, Accepted into World of Warcraft Beta I was.

I just got my e-mail today, I just finished downloading it, Installing it, Since I have been playing Everquest so much (Just got my Beastlord level 69, argh))

I have decided to put EQ down to really get a chance to experience the game. Pretty excited and cant wait to actually get a chance. This install is taking forever though,

I feel like I'm gonna go nuts!.

Did anyone else get there confirmation e-mails this week?

Ok, Wow, I have been pretty impressed so far, And most MMORPGS have ceased to impress me.

I dont know if any you enjoy role playing, But I most certainly do, Used to do so alot on Neverwinter Nights, And Everquest, In Any event theres alot of great realism factor, Depending on what you type your charactor actually emotes and acts to it.

If you use an "!" mark at the end of your system your care looks very excited and impatient and just extactic, its hard to explain but it really adds life.

Also using "?" in your system your charactor will look like they are asking a question. It adds alot of realism to the game.

Using a standard period results in a normal conversation emote, This might seem annoying, But its integrated seemlessly into the game. It doesnt look exxagerated at all.

Graphics, They are better than Everquest, I wouldnt call them EQ 2 graphics, But they definately have a realism factor to them, I like how each individual armor piece shows up perfectly, (Cloaks show finally!) Of course they made the women sexy (how could they not? At least the humans)

It run great for me @ 1280x1024 with 4xAA/16x AF, I turn off Texture stage optimisation and mip map optimisations and just stick to trilinear, Unfortunately the more aggressive texture stage/mip map opts cause a little shimmering. But Brilinear does not.

need to look over my NDA a bit but I think I can post some screens. Nvidia was definately smart turning this into a "TWIMP" title. MMORPGS sell so many graphic cards these days.

I've been really impressed on Blizzards almost complete lack of an NDA. Just shows how confident they are in their product. The fact that Sony hasn't followed suit with their NDA policy on EQ2 makes me suspicious.

Grats on beta ChrisRay. I'm an EQ Bst too.

This is a game I'll buy without reading a single review. Thats how much faith I have in Blizzard. They have never released a game that I did not love. I just hope they dont dumb this game down too much. I dont want to see a bunch of invincible LVL 200 this or that after 1 week.

Can you post some screenshots when you get a chance ChrisRay.

Thanks

Man I am so jealous. It also sucks when people get invited into beta just to sell it on ebay.

I've been in since Phase 1 but man I got bored quickly. Was too much like the original EQ to make me stay with it. My friend is currently using my account while I play the EQ2 Beta.

Congrats on your acceptance, I wish I could have got in. The one week with the Stress Test just wasn't enough for me. Have fun playing it until release, ya bastard
