nevermind. I just found it on the H2 forum. Now I just wish it will be included on the DVD edition.
Heh, I probably wouldn't have known about it either unless I saw it listed at the main page of Steampowered.com

Strange that they added so much to the Silver package yet it only costs $10 more than the Bronze (and $30 less than the Gold). Now the only real thing that the Gold has that the Silver doesn't is all the merchandise. That soundtrack still sounds tempting...the music from the trailers was really good.

I just ordered the Silver version. I can't download CS:Source right now since the steam servers are really being hammered.

Hmm try to go Steam's Monitor and highlighted CounterStrike: Source, then click properties button and select "Always keep this game up to date" from Automatic updates listing and you should see it start download.

Just upgraded to the Gold version... since I already had an ATI coupon, it only cost me 40 bucks

330 minutes before I can play CS:Source! It's only 100 mb and that don't take 5 and a half hours to download on my 512k ADSL!

Edit 1: It's dropped down to 180 minutes which is a little better.

Edit 2: Now back up to 230 minutes. This is

Edit 3: 270 minutes...

Edit: 347 minutes and still rising! Forget it!

I will never buy it through Steam. I will just wait for the CD/DVD to come out.

I wonder how much DoD: Source will cost to download later

They really shouldnt be selling anything besides HL2 and HL:S... the others are free already. Adding new graphics to mods that were always free and then charging to play them seems a bit like robery to me

I agree. This will also greatly reduce the number of DoD players.

Hmmm here are many people will buy DVD, it probably the reason they all feared that they cant play Half Life 2 no matter if steam is down, I have good news for you. You can play Half Life 2 in offline mode, all you have to do is log on internet and launch steam and login screen appearing, when you typing in password and remember to tick remember the password, this will save your account information store in your hard drive then login and logout. Then disabled either 56k modem or LAN for DSL or cable modem and click steam icon and it will pop up message to say that it cant access to internet, then click on Offline Mode button and you will see steam offline icon on your tray icons. Now you can play Half Life 2 offline, no need to get DVD. To get steam back online, logout steam and enabled the 56k modem or LAN then login steam.

Hmmm no you of course not going to spend 145, good for your brother can get a DVD writer for $27, you wont need to get $70 DVD version, you could get $27 for the DVD writer and Silver package for $59.95 plus tax, then you can burn all the images to the DVD so you can play Half Life 2 in offline mode.

I think $10 extra for retouched oldies is cheap.. I didn't buy it because had $49 and not $59 at time of order (I know, sounds wierd). I hope I can upgrade later.

I didn't mind steam, I do hope however they figure an easy to way to backup your DLs to a CD/DVD. A buildISO feature would be nice.
