Most guns have two fire modes. Edge, the physics gun is the gravity guns alternate fire.

Anyone who even attempts to compare Halo 2 and Half-Life 2 is an idiot. That's the end of the story.

Sorry about that; crappy day. It's like when peeps tryed to compare Doom 3 and HL2, you just can't do it. I'm sure that Halo 2 will be cool in it's own way, but yea, I'll like HL2 better. My apologies . . .

I thought that with the gravity gun, alt-fire grabs something and main-fire throws it? I'm talking about that one wierd-looking gun from the E3 2003 tech demo that shoots that wierd yellow light that actually lets you SWING things around, and *supposedly* WELD things togeather! That's why I was so suprised when I saw the weapon list, I thought it would be on there (unless that's what that extra gun in the middle of the second-to-the-bottom row is, but it sure looks different from the one shown in the E3 videos).

And yes, I did think it was funny that both the Halo 2 and the Half-life 2 threads turned into a discussion about which is better. This is even worse than the Doom 3 vs. HL2 comparisions, since in this case we haven't even played EITHER game . I don't care which is "better" or which has the best features in certain areas, I'll be playing both and enjoying both immensly, and for different reasons.

Half Life 2 have 15 - 20 hours of gameplay? How very disappointed of that?

I thought Gabe said in past interview that Half Life 2 will be bigger than the whole of Half Life, spanning into total of 75 hours gameplay? If it really 15 - 20 hours gameplay, then it will be very short game than Half Life, it remind me of Commandos 3, it last 20 hours in 2 days, it very very short game with fewer missions and fewer objectives than Commandos 1 and 2. Commandos 2 last 4 months of gameplay, it very complex and best game of the Commandos trilogy. Commandos 3 had highest quality of artworks, I think Valve did the same thing with Half Life 2's artworks, it all very beautiful but I hope it better not be very short game as Commandos 3.

NO FPS ever will come near 40 hours... Think the longest game I have played was Deus Ex and it was still short of even 30... 75 hours is just stupid to believe... thats longer then some RPGs.

20 hours for a FPS is great, especially if the game can be played multiple times...

They said that Doom 3 would be about 20 hours of gameplay and it took me longer than that. If you try and really enjoy/savor the game, it will last longer. I'll play through HL2 more than once for sure. In the PC Gamer review, they said that there were a lot of "physics puzzles" so it'll be interesting to the outcome of situations via Gravity Gun!!!!
