I'm not trying to start anything, but all the halo 2 cinematic trailers released ( especially the first one, and half of the 3rd one thats coming out on the 30th ) got me hyped up a lot more than HL2. Halo 2 looks more like a nonstop action game that really gets your blood pumping. Half Life 2 is a little more...calm. Not saying its a bad thing, just saying I love non stop action over throwing boxes at headcrabs with my gravity gun I'm gonna have a blast with both though Cant wait to test out my new home theater system tee hee

This is my favorite:

It is bug free and everything in the game is done with perfection. You cannot talk enougth about its greatness. For starters, PC Gamer gave it 98% rating! That's their highest rating ever given to a game. It has been in developement for 5 years!! It is not rushed like 95% of games released today!! It was created by the incomparable Valve who made the pc game that was Half Life, a revolution. It was the best pc game ever...until now. Did I mention everything is amazing. Difficulty and longevity are just right.
Bug free, eh? Not rushed, eh? Seems like it's been rushed quite a bit this last year since the whole "stolen source code" fiasco and ATi getting all over VALVe to get this out.

Then again, of COURSE it's bug free and absolutely amazing when you've got 30 screenshots you're looking at.

This "not rushed" and "complete" label gets thrown around too much. The last game that I really felt was spit shined before it shipped to retail was UT2004. Everything else feels like DIY with IKEA instructions.

Comparing Halo 1 and HL 1 is ok I guess, both first games of a series and such

It's almost impossible to compare Halo 2 and Half Life 2! Look at when they came out. Half Life 2 has a MUCH bigger potential to make a large jump. Graphics and gameplay can be something they weren't when HL1 came out. PC's have made such huge leaps since it happened. Halo 2 is running on the same hardware as Halo 1. It can't make as big of jump! Sure it's gameplay can change SOME but it mainly has to keep to Halo 1 standards and just add stuff

I think it's completely unfair to make this comparison

The most bug free game i've ever seen lately is Dawn of War, and that still has some bugs to work out.
