Hey everyone,
I'm having a problem with the NVidia FreeBSD driver on my FreeBSD 4.7-STABLE box. My GeForce4 Ti 4400 is correctly detected, but when I start X, all I see are some red and blue vertical lines. Anyone got any idea what I am doing wrong? I have an Athlon XP 2200+, an ECS K7S5A motherboard and a GeForce4 Ti 4400. The 'nv' driver works fine. All has been configured using 'X -configure', which uses the NVidia driver. Changing modes in the config file makes no difference. The system does not crash, since I can still SSH to the box and such. Thanks! |

It appears that there are problems with FreeBSD/SiS and the NVIDIA drivers, the nature of which are not yet understood. It would help if you provided detailed system information to Munish Chopra (of the NVIDIA petition project), who is currently gathering information related to this subject.
