IMHO, I believe that Win2k is a better product that WinXP.... you didnt see a patch for GTA3 to get it to play on Win2k... plus Win2k has been around for awhile and already has 2 service packs which help better differentiate itself from WinXP which is still relatively new.

Abit have an updated bios for Geforce 4 problems with KT7/KT7A +RAID. Maybe worth taking a look at if you haven't solved your problem yet.

Wait a min...so he was having problems only in D3D and it turned out to be a bad videocard? I'm having the same problem where only games in D3D will bluescreen in a few mins with an nv4_disp bluescreen also known as the "infinite loop" problem. What do you guys suggest?

Don't overclock any components. Use manufacterer defualts and get latest drivers for every component you cand

my friend had the same problem, with his voodoo banshee, lol it may be old, but it had the exact problem, it was just faulty, it stuffed up on him after having it bout 3 years, dx 8 in d3d wouldnt work, the card was fried!!
