Default Is the fx 5900 capable of running the nalu demo?

I downloaded it and all I see is a black screen with the menus and that's about it. I got some white light going around but I dont' see a mermaid. :/

I'm using the 61.77 fw drivers btw. D:

I thought there was some kind of NV40 software emulator that allowed the demo to run, but kinda slow. Thought I read that here somewhere but might be wrong

Well I figured that my car wouldn't be able to do much of the new stuff, but I guess I'll just run the emulator and see the slide show.

I've tried emulating a NV40 using Rivatuner but only the galleon demo worked for me.

The only nv40 demo that works on the nv3x is clearsailing. It doesn't even run bad on my 5900xt.

The FX 5900 is junk. Get rid of it and buy a real card like a 6800nu or 6800 GT.
