Question 8-bit overlay in 24 bit color not supported?

I believe this article here accurately describes nVidia support for the X PseudoColor overlay mode, but I wanted to confirm this with the users of this forum.

I am using FX 5200 boards in a RH 9.0 system and would like to be able to use them in the 8+24 overlay mode. It appears I am up the proverbial creek but but want to confirm this.

What is the cheapest nVidia board that does support this?

how do I find out which boards support the CIoverlay option?

by cheapest, do you mean price-wise or quality wise (though the two can go hand-in-hand)? i would just pricewatch it.

I also asked how I could tell which cards support this feature.

If I knew what nVidia models support the CIOverlay option then I would pricewatch them.

By cheapest I meant the lowest price. It doesn't make any sense that I would ask for a more expensive board with poorer quality, now does it?
