It has some of the spark that the good old destruction derby 2 had.
Looks awsome as well!
And that ramp stuff is hellarious!
If this game will have the points sytem and the music like DD2 had, than this could be just it.
But the music in this game suck somewhat, and besides, when GT4 will come out, everyone will forget anything else exist.
NFSU2 who? Flatout what?

Yesterday I played the game on my brothers computer using his Thrustmaster analog controller (which is probably the nicest controller ive ever seen) and I won a race

I dug out my Game Pad Pro (had been using keys before this) and won another race last night on my system. Using a controller deffinitely helps a LOT. Also, my wins were on the paved track. The dirt one just sucks

This is deffinitely the most exciting and intense racing game ive ever played. As long as they have some difficulty controls for the harder tracks (such as the dirt one in this demo) I think ill probably be playing this a LOT. The way you have to wreck to get more nitros is probably the best feature in the game. It adds a whole new level to the gameplay that makes it almost like an action game rather than a straight up racer.

I've never been this satisfied with a highly anticipated game. I hope they make a lot of money with this one

As has already been stated, with older cards. Those of use with 4200/5900's are having this problem with the 70.41's, not the 6800 owners.

Heck, they're beta so I'm not complaining, it's just a heads-up for those with the FX/GF4 models.

Well, there's another game down the drain. I'm not buying this one now unless the US publisher takes a different approach to copy protection. Damnit! The game has Safedisc with blacklisting activated in full force. NO SALE! http://www.flatoutgame.com/forum/for...329&PN=1&TPN=1

It is a shame, but it's the developer/publisher that will be mi$$ing out...unless the US publisher takes a less invasive approach that is.

Yeah I hate when companies do that crap. When I buy a game I hate to HAVE to download a no-cd patch just to play it because of some unrelated software on my PC.

Solved my problems with demo. Uninstalled the 65.76 drivers I was using, then used driver cleaner 3, then installed Omega 61.77 drivers and everything works great!

This has got to be one of the most fun racing games I ever played I cannot believe how good it looks and how well it plays on my system. Never have seen anything remotely like this game. Only thing I hope for is they vary the music a bit in the retail game

I won a race on the second map, using the keyboard. I am much better using that than a wheel, but thats probably because I've had more practice with the keyboard. W is throttle, S is brake, D is Nitro, Numpad 2 is left, Numpad 3 is right, Space is parking brake/manual brake.

Oh, and Omega 61.77 drivers ROCK

This is a great game, however I hope the developers add an in-car-view with a patch.

Sounds like people are having fun with this, but all I get is a blue screen crash in nvdisp.dll about 5 seconds after the race starts. Using 66.81 with FX5800.
