Everyone, point your browsers to the following link for some mindblowing info:

http://www.nvmax.com/Articles/Previe...SNEAK_PREVIEW/

OMG, I just realised something:

Hmmm...Well, if that's the case, then how can one take this any other way? It pretty much sounds to me like NVMax signed an NDA, wrote up their short article, handed it to nVidia for 'review'...got it back, and posted it on the net.

Well...Regardless of what has been said in the past, this appears to be a rather definitive statement, and one which nVidia has clearly had some influence on...

Do you think we could probably say real time for the pics (the article makes it sound like we could)

I was confused by this when I first saw it - if nVidia did review it do you think it would say this?

EDIT - read the last sentance!

I'll tell you what I'd like to see. Now that the nv30 has 128bit color precision it can actually keep up with 3d workstations in IQ. I think a dual-nv30 quadro would be a godsend. Of course it would need an external power connector and 256mb per chip, but I dont think most people with a need for that kind of power would mind, or mind paying $1500 for it. I know I wouldnt mind

That would definitely be an insane ammount of power. NV30 should be interesting to say the least, and if it's everything it's cracked up to be then it should take nVidia into the next-gen in 1st place.

It should be nice, but pricing could be an issue.

Code:
The only other point we can share is that NV30 will use a 256 Bit memory bus and DDR2 memory.

I'm not going to buy a 9700 because it costs too much and I think many people think about the same...

I really hope that Nvidia brings another gf4ti4200 version of nv30 to the xmas season, but if they don't they're gonna lose me and probably others as customers...

Just my 2 cents
no, because that way they sell more 9700s. they know all the fanATIcs will rush out and buy an R300. but if they released the R9500 people might be inclined to buy it instead.

ATI is well aware that many people will still buy an ATI card over an nvidia card, because they hate nvidia, period. so when NV30 comes out, those people will buy a R9500. ATI wins both ways. not to mention the price on the R9700 could be dropped to compete if ATI still has their inferiority complex

P10 is a joke AFAIC. have you seen the quadro4 benchmarks compared to P10? considering the P10 is supposed to by a workstation card first, it gets slapped around by the latest Quadro drivers. 30.40 i think, so these might be new dets.
