Default Dell Inspiron 8200 with 1.0-6629 x86

Running kernel 2.6.9-ck2 on Debian Unstable w/ 32Mb DDR 4X AGP nVidia GeForce4 440 Go. After upgraded to 6629, it break my 1600x1200 resolution. X only started on 1400x1050 resolution rather then what defined in XF86Config-4. I been using this config for the past nvidia binary version w/ no problems.

The problem I had here is quite similar w/ this thread :
http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=40301
( with the screenshot attached ).
As for my case the VertRefresh ( right-hand screen) give me multiple color interlace effect while Horizsync at bottom screen is the reflection from the top screen, is like running an 1400x1050 resolution on top of 1600x1200 display.

Below I attached an XFree86.0.log while i'm running w/ 6111 and 6629 driver & my XF86Config-4 files.
From the xfree86.log_6629, its seem to be X failed to load the 'vgahw' module, is that could be the issue?
Thank for the help.

FWIW, my 8200 worked just fine with 6629. I'd be using them right now if they worked with 'swsusp2'. If you want my XF86Config file, E-mail kenny@panix.com and I'll send 'em to you.

(It shouldn't matter, but I'm running 2.6.8.1 .)

Btw zander, any better solution for this issue?
I'm having this 1600x1200 problem since 6629 released. Changing NVreg_Mobile = ~0; to NVreg_Mobile = 0; in os-register.c did help but it's broke DPMS support.

I'm having the same problem with a Dell Latitude C840 (GeForce4 440 Go 32MB). I get the vertical color lines on the right side and a reflection at the bottom. I have tried both the 6620 and now the 7167 drivers. I earlier used older NVIDIA drivers on the same hardware using FC 1 without any issues.

The nv driver works without any problems at all.
I get the following warning using the nvidia driver in my xorg log file...
(WW) NVIDIA(0): The user specified HorizSync "31.500-90.000" has been adjusted
(WW) NVIDIA(0): to "31.500-65.000" (the intersection with EDID-specified
(WW) NVIDIA(0): HorizSync "29.000-65.000")
(II) NVIDIA(0): Monitor0: Using hsync range of 31.50-65.00 kHz
(II) NVIDIA(0): Monitor0: Using vrefresh value of 60.00 Hz

Using the nv driver, states that the HorizSync is 87.5 kHz, VerticalSync is 70.0 Hz, Pixel Clock is 189.0MHz for 1600x1200 resolution. nvidia driver changes resolution to 1400x1050

Anybody got a solution to this?
