Just wondering if anyone else gets shimmering on the steel poles in the monoral car at the beginning of the game, or is there something wrong with my system set-up? Gamespot has a picture that shows an example of this.

OMG this game is awesome. I just started getting deeper into it and found that I couldn't put it down once really got going.

I spent all day yesterday playing it and my wife was pretty hot but she'll get over it.

I have to say this game is the best SP experience for me since the original Unreal came out. Definitely a better overall game then Doom3, IMO. The physics in this game... it's just insane (in a good way).

You said it man, HLČ was the first sp game I'd played through since Unreal1 & loved every minute of it About start playing through again on hard to see if there was anything I missed. Seriously can't wait for the expansion packs though.

Comeon, it's an intentional shader effect! I think it looks cool...

I hear that...I'm not even done with the game yet, but I want more! I actually don't want to play anymore because I don't want the game to end...stuttering and all the other little bugs and annoyances aside, this really is the best game I've ever played and I think I'm going to be very sad when it finally does end.

The most annoying level for me? Ravenholm. It was good for practice with the grav gun, but i much preferred to kill something that could shoot back.

Holy... Anyone go look at the Steam forums lately? Damn that is U-G-L-Y. This stuttering/audio popping/hissing crap is most definitely NOT fixed for a lot of people out there. And here I was thinking I was like the only one it wasn't fixed for. Silly me...

Better fix this soon Valve or you might find a lump of coal in that stocking damnit!

I thought the worst was the beach/desert one that had you putting the various pieces of garbage/metal/wood one by one in front of you to walk across without upsetting the Ant Lions. So tediously frustrating.

I like the SMG in counterstrike better, though it doesn't have a grenade launcher.
