The stuttering is minor. Quality issues? I have played through it once on easy and once on hard. I plan to play through it again on hard. Weak enemy AI? Not on hard. Many others?

IMO Half-Life 2 is the greatest FPS in recent history, followed by CoD.

Sandtraps? I agree. I ended up using two large sheets of metal and putting one infront of the other, a very long process.

I've owned this game for two weeks and I still haven't played it yet. It stutters too much and I am also having this problem which happens on numerous surround sound cards. Both of which are showstoppers as far as I am concerned. I can't really do anything with this game yet either, CS:S is hard to play with only one audio channel. HL2DM is playable, but still difficult.

I actually started walking around city 17 (usually I just quit before the g-man finishes talking b/c he has a major stuttering problem,) and I discovered that jumping on trashcans really pisses off the guys wearing gas masks. In fact it pisses them off so much, that they literally throw you back on the train.

Amazing...these guys are so strong that they can hurl you ten feet with just the swing of an arm.

Now that the stuttering is fixed, how about we all play it again on a harder difficulty and relist our lust for gordony goodness.

I started playing through again. I just got to Ravenholm 3 days ago and had to stop playing because it was too creepy to play alone at night in my old, creaky house. Make fun of me all you want, but staying alone downtown in that old house is scary.

Heh i still cant believe how people can be so scared playing Ravenholm... its scary a little but after that it isnt that really. Doom3 is scary because its really dark and you never feel safe... in ravenholm it just thoose slow zombies and headcrabs... except for the moments when the fast zombies gets in.. and all the traps etc i feel preety safe unlike doom where i almost pee my pants when something suprises me.

Agreed, Ravenholm didn't scare me that much too. But oddly enough, other weird parts did. Like in the start of HL2 on the square when a scanner took a picture of me from behind, I jumped in the seat when the rear-left speaker suddenly said a loud "click". Also a few times in some other parts involving zombies, but it's kinda rare. So under the right circumstances, I can get shocked of HL2 too. Still, great game though

But you-know-what-episode of Riddick is acutally the only game competing with Doom3's scaryness right now I think

Things are looking better, finish Water Hazard and got to play with the gravity gun, pretty cool. I think now my only complaint is the too frequent loading especially in the middle of action on the water ways. In parts the graphics looks rather awesome in other ways not, as in the grass, trees etc. are not affected by wind it appears. Plus if you try to shoot one of your buddies the bullets, crowbar does not phase them, neither do they complain about it. Still I am starting to really get into this game, throwing saw blades and mowing down the zombie critters cutting them in two is pretty cool especially when they are lined up and one blade chops both of them. I think I am falling in love with the gravity gun . Oh the physic puzzles are interesting and a good twist for game puzzles to manipulate the enviroment.
