NVTweak doesnt seem to work in XP64, which is kinda what I expected aswell..
Is there any possibilies for a XP64 compatible version anytime soon?
I know its just a beta OS sofar and all that, but the registry locations prolly wont change with the final product so..

I haven't really had the chance to test this out on any 64-bit operating systems. Honestly I don't even understand why it doesn't work now Perhaps the .NET version, when released, will support Win64 as well.

Have you tried the Coolbits 3D reg file on XP64?

rewt,
I hate to ask a silly assed n00b question, but unfortunatly I have to. Its been a while since I've had a nVidia card and I have a new eVGA 6600GT AGP being delivered to me today. I already have the latest nVidia drivers (71.84) and also have the NVTweak and Coolbits 2.0 downloaded as well for it. I used to use only Coolbits for tweaking my GeForce cards, but the NVTweak looks quite compelling. Is there a need for me to install Coolbits 2.0 if I am using the NVTweak?

Hi Rosco[CoF]

NVTweak is simply a graphical interface for Coolbits 2/3D. If you press the "Enable All" button it is virtually the same thing as installing the Coolbits 3d reg file The multiple check boxes allow users to tweak the control panel in any way they wish. For whatever reason, some persons do not like all the extra tabs in the Forceware panel.

Well, my Gainward card was already using the Expertool thingy for OCing and temp indication but I finally installed NVtweak for the OpenGL2.0 option for better viewport performance in Cinema4D. It got me the best Cinebench03 hardware OGL lit test score with 3378 points. That's a nice victory over the QuadroFX1000 workstation card I had before the GT ; that one got me about 2890 points.

Texture shaded viewport test score, the QuadroFX1000 still ranked first, but hey, with the 6800GT I'm just as productive at a much lower price.

Is there anyway to add 6xS to the AA line-up? I would Rivatuner, but GR didn't care for it much (probably some of the settings I had besides AA), but anyhow, I have since uninstalled Rivatuner and just use NVTweak. I just hate having to use 4x AA.

I like this tool a lot. I use it mainly for the VMR option.

I agree. VMR does come in quite handy at times for watching tv or videos.

GRUNT I was planning on having all the AA modes from 2x - 16xS in the tray tool but as it turns out it is a lot of work to implement. There are lots of GeForce graphics cards and they all support different AA modes. Not only that, but everytime I install another driver, the place in the Windows registry where the AA settings are stored changes. It is not a static entry like the other tweaks in my tool.

Unwinder did a very good job with his tool (RivaTuner) and the AA modes, but as you can probably tell he has much more experience than I do at programming.
